Dave began his career in vocal music production while acting as Music Director for the UNC Clef Hangers. After joining vocal tonic and hiring Rockapella's Jeff Thacher to produce the group's second CD, he quickly developed a love for working "behind the glass", and formed the a cappella production company diovoce.

Since founding the company in 2000, Dave has had an opportunity to work with many talented groups from around the world, and his work has been honored hundreds of times by the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARAs). Dave's clients can be heard on numerous "best of" compilations, including:

'Best of College A Cappella' 2002-2013
'Sing' 1-9
'Voices Only' 1-9

In 2007 Dave partnered with fellow producers James Gammon, Tat Tong, James Cannon, and Ed Boyer to form VocalSource. As the largest network of a cappella studios in the world, VocalSource offers artists more flexibility and diversity of sound, with sonically-pleasing results.

In 2011 Dave formed Vocal Mastering: the world's only dedicated mastering facility tailored specifically to the exacting and unique needs of vocal music.
